Adriana was born in the Netherlands, grew up in South Africa, and earned her qualification as a veterinarian at the University of Pretoria’s Onderstepoort campus.
With experience as a veterinarian in South Africa, Australia, and the United Kingdom, this book chronicles her life working with lions–from cubs to adults.
It showcases the emotional toll of being a veterinarian and wildlife rehabilitator, culminating in a gruelling court case to save the life of one of these lions. It is an account of four lions and a woman who refused to give up.’
